Your Life Purpose
After COVID-19

Are you alive, social distancing, and working or schooling at home?
If you are one of the essential or healthcare workers, I appreciate you and your service.
I am here writing this piece. And reflecting on the thousands of people in the hospitals and homes gasping into their limited breath. I pray for the sick to recover and the dead to have peace. The tsunami hits me hard — some of my friends, relatives are sick, and one in a comma. I’m here shinning eyes and sometimes concern about being indoors 24/7.
How is your day going!
Why are we still here witnessing our friends, relatives, and others suffered and died? Maybe an opportunity for us to reexamine our purpose in the world.
Look close to your real purpose of being in this world. Sometimes, we confused our purpose in life with what society or our family wants from us — go to school, work 90 hours a week, married, buy a mansion, and have many children.

As he read, he said to no one in particular, “Ema is a good writer” I can tell; my uncle did not want my parents to hear his view on my writing. In those days, Nigerian parents wanted their children to be doctors, lawyers, and entrepreneurs.
As a teenager and young adult, I self-selected my boyfriends with my obsession with hard news — politics, business, international affairs, and others.
Bookstores and libraries were my second home. I traveled to all nooks and crannies of the world with books, dug into history, government, science, and human behavior.
Stranger reserved a seat on the bus for me — to sit near them. Bookstore’s workers scrambled to be the first to see my face in the morning. They believed my smiling face was their good luck charm, and others claimed I make them feel better — listened and paid attention to them as human beings. Am I living mine purposefully in life? It is NO!
As of today, are you living your life purpose?
