Some of your experiences may be traumatic and come with post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD. But digging out the wound too often can worsen treatment and recovery and, often, is a sign of guilt and unforgiving oneself.
What you can do:
- Seek help and focus more on your wellness — live better.
- Acknowledge the guilt and work on your own forgiveness.
- Decide to forgive others or not — learn and grow from your mistake.
