Some of your experiences may be traumatic and come with post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD. But digging out the wound too often can worsen treatment and recovery and, often, is a sign of guilt and unforgiving oneself.

What you can do:

  • Seek help and focus more on your wellness — live better.
  • Acknowledge the guilt and work on your own forgiveness.
  • Decide to forgive others or not — learn and grow from your mistake.
