Yep. My OBGYN is a black woman. If she retires or leaves medicine, who will take her place?

I think we in our community can do as much as we can to encourage our children to go to the medical field. It is true; the pay is not as high as rap music or sport. But doctors and others in the mental and medical field help our community grow and stay healthy.

How do we do that? One of the things we can do is expose our young kids to science camp rather than basketball. Second, we can choose to respect and speak highly of black doctors as we do to rappers. Some Black people tend to demean black doctors, teachers, coaches----I know white supremacy can take the blame.

The truth is, Black doctors are not there to help many black people. Medicine takes time, but she saves lives.
