The most challenging job is parenting.
Rarely there is a system in place for an individual child,
It’s secret many parents choose not to share
We parent our children and look forward to harvest season —
The children grow, and parents are excited to harvest the fruits.
The truth is the US Black parents are not sure of the harvest season.

You can understand if you still have your child alive and well,
It’s exhausting being a Black mother in America
When a mother is in pain, society suffers.
I have a 6'1" tall young man,
He has a vast presence.
Brilliant, graceful, and often speak with few words
I choose hope when he walks into NYC
Concern, pray, and turn on my cell phone.
My son can be yours.
Women can help and stop police brutality in the US.
Whose son or daughter is next.
It’s heart-rending,
For the sake of motherhood, do what you can —
Start a genuine conversation when our front door closes.
See him as your son, brother, husband, father, grandson, or nephew,
An American Army officer is one of our sons.
