Women in all cultures around the world are raised to be nice 24/7. Many are often put on with abuse, manipulation, and gaslighting by everyone, including other women.
Every day is an opportunity for women and girls to turn a page and be aware of their value as human beings.
In the US, some people tend to ask many inappropriate and unnecessary questions.
As an immigrant living in the US, I’ve encountered and chosen not to answer inappropriate questions. For instance, a woman once asked me “Is that a wedding ring?” A pastor’s wife once commented, “You have a father!”
The common ones are, “Where do you live? ‘What do you do?’ ‘Do you have children?’ ‘Where are you from?’ ‘Did you buy and bring that snack?’ and ‘Do you work here?” When asked in a specific tone, these questions can be invasive and disrespectful or make you…
