Healthy Eating If You Are Exhausted

This week has been especially rough for me, friends, and family. What about you?

work very hard to eat properly and exercise as much as I can. After watching half of George Floyd’s video saying, “I can’t breathe,” I became overwhelmed and drifted away from my eating habits.

Maybe, you are struggling too — -George was our son, brother, uncle, father, a friend, or in-law.

Out of character, I ate unhealthy snacks too much and enjoyed it. I prayed, and I turned back to my regular healthy habit. It is not easy, but I love being healthy — — mentally and physically fit.

Are you overwhelmed, and how is your self-care? Your mental well being is more important now than before. Talk and express your feelings honestly and freely and remember your are not alone. Keep healthy snacks in the house and unhealthy ones in the stores.

Here’s one of my healthy snacks for you. Easy to prepare. You can eat it anytime you feel like eating, but not hungry. We’ll get through this — — COVID-20

Step 1

Buy fresh or frozen broccoli from your local supermarket. Cut it the way you like. I cut it this way (see the picture) because it is my snack.

Step 2

Boil water. Add salt and spices of your choice (optional).

Bring water to boil.

Step 3

Add the cut broccoli

Cover the pot and cook for 3–5minutes

Store in the refrigerator and eat it anytime you feeling like eating. No worries, it is healthy food.
