My view is not a blanket statement but an opinion based on my objective observation. However, we all know free and inexpensive people and things are not highly valued.

Mother's Day in the US had come and gone. And the bad feelings from some mothers and women stay on.

I listened and paid attention to one mother, Rita, the other day. Almost two weeks after Mother's Day, Rita still talked about the sadness she received from her children on Mother's Day.

Can you remember the last time you observed people spending good money and time alone with a mother or a caretaker?

For me, I do not make a big deal about celebrations, but I appreciate a fun text like this from my Sunshine, "… Mom, every day is Mother's Day, including today!"

Rita's frustrations can be insecurity, unresolved issues, and possibly her reality. Rita and her children know the truth, and I hope they work things…
