Debesh,
I understand where you are coming from. And you’re right.
I don't follow many people. Why? I'm doing my own thing, and I believe I have choices. I read many writers' works. I read them because I like their work, and I can learn what to do and what not to do. Or, I read to help a new writer or help a story without a clap.
Some writers I'm following are not my followers, and it doesn't border me. Why? Some of them have 10-100K followers, and they can't possibly reply to any comments unless you take their thousand dollars course. And they will comment on your posts for a week or two---be money wise!
I don't follow some of my followers or follow-follow, and I guess they like my work. So my real followers and fans stay, and fake followers leave after three weeks or three months.
I think writers here should do what works for them, not following the course they pay thousands of dollars--- the medium course doesn't teach character (relationship), but temporary sales tactics.
As always, you are saying what many people are thinking.
Thanks!
