Another excellent topic.

True, language is who we are. As a reader, I admire a writer who challenged me with their language — words or phrases. Unfamiliar words give me something to think about and an opportunity to learn something new. Classic writers Alice Walker and James Baldwin do this so well.

As a writer, I do throw in Efik and Nigerian English in some of my writings. I hope to do more.
