A Mother’s Confession: My Children Are Not the Most Important People In Our Home
Part 1: Who wants entitled children and adults? Who wants to pay more taxes? My name is Jessica, and here is my story.
“Sometimes the easiest way to solve a problem is to stop participating in the problem.” — Jonathan Mead.
A little about my family:
We (the Zarias) live in Pittsburgh, PA. Our family consists of a mom, dad, two daughters, and a son — Hope, Haven, and Harper.
Hope and Haven are fifteen, and Harper is fourteen.
Mom and Dad run a private business, and everyone works in our home. We shop, cook, and clean our house most of the time and five members share the chores. The children make their breakfast and lunch, and everyone works on dinner after we return from work and school.
My daughters and son hate us because we do not treat them like princesses and princes like their friends are in their homes. Their friends are treated like royalty, and their parents and nannies clean after them.
